m13-vs-m9_small1

I am seriously considering picking up the M9 or M13 from Line 6. In case you don’t know, these products are multieffects units that model various individual stompbox effect. I am most interested in the delay and reverb effects, and not so interested in the overdrive/distortion effects.

I’m undecided about which one to go with, but I’m leaning toward the M13. It can run 4 effects at a time, while the M9 can only run 3 at a time. It’s quite a bit bigger, but I’m not too concerned about that.

If I get one, I would probably sell my Timeline delay to fund the purchase. However, I don’t want to sell it only to find out that I’m not crazy about the M9/13. I have owned the DL4 and the Echo Park, and they were both really cool delays. If the the quality of the delays on the M9/13 is up to par with the DL4/Echo Park, it’s a no-brainer. I really like what I’ve heard online, but it’s hard to judge quality by listening to youtube soundclips. Anyone have personal experience with one of these?

I don’t typically listen to Christian music. Rob Bell says that Christian is a great noun and a poor adjective. What does “Christian music” mean anyway? Is it enough for the songwriters to be Christ-followers? Do the songs have to be about Jesus? Anyway, it doesn’t matter.

In general, I find most Christian music to be pretty annoying. It’s overly simplistic, saccharine, and it just rings false to me. In spite of my aversion to “Christian music,” I really like Robbie Seay Band. Robbie seems to be a pretty authentic songwriter and he’s not really interested in writing über-catchy praise and worship anthems.

Anyway, Robbie Seay Band released a new single today. It’s called Miracle, and it’s pretty good.

I wrote out a lyric/chord chart if you’re interested. I’m sure that it has a lot of mistakes in it, but it should be pretty close. Check it out, proofread it, and let me know if you see any mistakes.

Here it is.
